A Father’s Love.
A Catholic Witness.

Tom Vander Woude was a Catholic husband, father, and coach remembered for his deep faith, devoted fatherhood, and heroic love.

In 2008, he gave his life while rescuing his son Joseph, who has special needs, after Joseph fell into a septic tank. Chris Vander Woude will share not only what happened that day, but the faithful life that made such love possible.

The Diocese of Arlington Virginia has opened an investigation of his life and virtues as a first step in the Catholic Church's process for considering someone for sainthood.
